30 Day Mistyoga Challenge
May 1st - May 30th
The Journey
One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you kept shouting their bad advice ~
though the whole house began to tremble and you felt the old tug at your ankles.
"Mend my life!"
Each voice cried.
But you didn't stop.
You knew what you had to do, though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers at the very foundations, though their melancholy was terrible.
It was already late enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen branches and stones.
But little by little, as you left their voice behind,
the stars began to burn through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice which you slowly
recognized as your own, that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper into the world,
determined to do the only thing you could do ~
determined to save the only life that you could save.

Thank you for checking out my
30 Day Mistyoga challenge!
Setting an intention to practice yoga each and every day can transform the way you feel physically, mentally, and emotionally. I can't help but remember how I felt after my month long teacher training at the Sivananda Ashram. I had gone down a whole size in cloths and I felt stronger than ever. My body felt light in a way I had not experienced and my mind was so calm. I remember being at the airport to head home and watching all the folks buzzing around buying their coffee and seeming super stressed out. I said to myself "what is so stressful". Funny to think about now when oftentimes I am one of "those people". It takes a real strong commitment to sustain that kind of health and wholeness in everyday life. In fact it must be a way of life! I believe it's possible to feel good. We can have true peace in our hearts and a clear mind.
Anything is possible when you decide it's time.
Is it time?
You are a beautiful, strong, radiant Being of Light.
Love ya,
Misty

Tips for a successful personal practice
- Choose a comfortable place to practice where you will not be disturbed.
- Choose a time of day that you can stick with consistently throughout the entire challenge (consistency = creating a healthy habit).
- Set a timer at the start of your practice for your allotted practice time, this way you can just practice without needing to keep checking your phone.
- Don't skip Sivasana (relaxation), it may be the most important part of your practice.
- Finish your practice with a meditation. Very important way to seal in your practice and intention.
- Keep it simple, and remember there is no bad practice.
- Let go of expectations and keep an open mind.
- Take some time over a cup of tea after your practice to journal about your experience.
