Montenegro is a small country in Eastern Europe with a diverse range of untouched natural landscapes and a touch of fairytale magic. It is home to mountains and high pasture valleys, as well as over 35 lakes and the world's largest clean water gorge. Rich in history, culture, and breathtaking natural beauty this Adriatic coastline features beautiful beaches, secluded bays, costal villages and unique landscapes.
Buljarica is one of the most authentic and beautiful seaside towns in Montenegro. An untouched gem of the Adriatic Coast with its unique beach which stretches more than a mile. This authentic seaside village has remained untouched by manmade developments with just a handful of restaurants, a monastery and a small shop.

You may ask, why Montenegro?
During my (Misty) growing up years I fondly remember my mom talking about Montenegro. She had never been but it was the place where her father, Vuko (my grandfather) was from (my grandmother was from Serbia although back then it was all Yugoslavia). My grandparents emigrated to Chicago before my mom was born and all through her childhood she remembered my grandfather talking about where he was from. Montenegro, a beautiful and unimaginable land where the mountains meet the sea.
So, when Dana and I were talking about hosting a retreat together we both agreed it was going to be Montenegro. I am so grateful for our sisterhood and the support it brings for each of us and we are looking forward to meeting the land where my ancestors come from.
Dana's ancestors BTW are from Italy so I bet you can guess where the next retreat will be:)

Tucked away in the quiet seaside village of Bulijarica, Montenegro, Mahakala Center is a sanctuary where nature, peace, and mindful living come together. What's Not included
Airfare to and from Montenegro, airport shuttle to and from airport, spa and/or rejuvenation center treatments, meals out, car/bicycle/scooter/boat rentals, optional excursions, gratuity for Mahakala Center staff or other service providers, alcoholic beverages, any personal items, expenses occurring during travel.

Payment Schedule:
Early Bird Exchange: $200 off when you register and pay in full by July 31st.
Regular Exchange: $500.00 deposit is due upon registration (deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable). Remaining balance is due no later than February 11th (60 days prior to retreat start).
Last minute attendees... We would still love for you to join us. Signing up after February 11th - full payment is due at time of registration, full payment is non-refundable. You must have a passport to travel to Montenegro.

Payments made through Mistyoga website, Square, PayPal & Credit Card payments - a 3% fee is added to your retreat cost.

Cancellation Policy:
•Our cancellation policy is strict and firm. We strongly recommend that you purchase a cancellation/travel insurance policy to protect your investment: insuremytrip.com is a company that has a multitude of policies to choose from, including a “cancel for any reason” rider option (there are many other companies offering similar options). Typically, trip insurance must be purchased when you register for the retreat, not when you pay the final balance.
•$500.00 per person serves as a deposit and is both non-refundable and non-transferable.
•Cancellations on or before October 1st 2026: $600 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable; the remainder of your payment will be refunded to you.
•Cancellations on or after October 1st, 2026 you forfeit ALL money rendered.
•Please do not make any travel arrangements before receiving confirmation of your registration. Also, please be sure that your passport is current.
Travel Info
Please plan your arrival into Podgorica Montenegro, it's a 55 min drive to Buljarica. Shuttle cost from Podgorica is approximately $64 for a shuttle with 4 people or $116 for a shuttle with 8 people (per trip). As we get closer to the retreat dates we are happy to help coordinate corresponding airport group shuttle per arrival/departure days.

Teachers
Dana Wood
Dana has been practicing Vinyasa, Hatha, and Power yoga for over 15 years and she has been teaching since 2017. Dana became a 200 RYT through Yoga Alliance in July 2019 while studying Tantra, Hatha, and Vinyasa through the Aumkar Yoga School in Cuso, Peru. In 2020 she completed Cultivating the Heart of a Warrior 200 YTT with Mistyoga (RYS). Dana's teaching focuses on form, alignment, pranayama, asanas, and meditation, giving each student a complete yoga experience. Her classes are accessible for all levels. Dana has a passion to empower others to experience the clarity, light, and love that is yoga. |
Misty Mason
Misty is a free spirited artist and Colorado native with 20 years of personal yoga experience. She offers a depth of knowledge in the yogic tradition with RYT 200 - Sivananda Yoga, 300 hours of Master Trainings -Para Yoga and E-RYT 500 and YASEP - Yoga Alliance. Misty lives in Rifle Colorado where she has worked tirelessly since 2009 to build a strong yoga community known as Mistyoga, a RYS (registered yoga school) with Yoga Alliance. Along side her passion for yoga Misty is a cross cultural Shamanic practitioner, Shamanic Teacher and Reiki Master. Using these combined forces she has unique and personal approach to guiding you into a deeper understanding of yourself, and empowering you to live your dreams. |
