Connect with a deeper part of yourself through breath, supported yoga poses and deep relaxation. As we move through Fall and into Winter season we are offered the opportunity to go inward, to get to know and develop a deeper sense of self love and compassion. Join me for a deeply relaxing restorative yoga class where you will have the opportunity to infuse intention into the body, mind and heart. We will end the restorative practice with a short Shamanic Journey.
Restorative yoga balances a fast paced lifestyle and has an enormous capacity to heal physical and mental symptoms that are stress related.
The beauty of Restorative yoga is that there is no muscular contraction involved. With this type of practice we are opening in parts of the body that we perceive as tight by softening and relaxing rather than active stretching. During a Restorative yoga sequence, you still stretch, but you relax fully in the stretch so that tension can slowly be released.
When our body and mind relax we literally become softer. This softening gives us the space to get in touch again with the softer more nurturing qualities within us like compassion and understanding for others and self.
