5:30-7:30 pm Level II & III
In this class we primarily practice Sivananda Yoga which touches on the five points of Yoga. Proper exercise
(asana), proper breathing (pranayama), proper relaxation (Savasana), proper
diet, positive thinking (meditation). This 2 hour class will allow you to
perfect your own asana as well as help you to purify the mind with pranayama and
restore the body with plenty of Savasana. $20 drop in.
Bhakti Yoga with Misty
8:30-10:30 am Level III
Bhakti is the yoga of devotion. This class incorporates pranayama, asana, music, and meditation
as a practice to open the heart and enable students to be of better service to themselves and others when they step off of the mat. The class will be vigorous and challenging at times, but lighthearted and fun! Some yoga experience is recommended. $20 drop in.
Join us for the Fall Semester - Intro to Yoga with Misty - (also known as Yoga I through CMC Rifle)
A great place to begin your practice, Intro to Yoga offers a guided instruction in yoga. Students will be introduced to breathing techniques, sun salutations, 12 basic poses, and special considerations and contradictions to poses. Students are invited to practice yoga according to their individual fitness levels and abilities. This class will emphasize enhancing general health and well-being through the practice of yoga strength, flexibility, balance and relaxation techniques and exercises. $20 drop-in. No class March 14th.

Garrick Frontella has been yoga practitioner for the past 18 years. His interest in meditation was born while traveling across northern India in 2000 where he visited holy pilgrimage sites, participated in a Vipassana retreat and lived at an ashram. During his travels he experienced and practiced a meditation techniques from a variety of traditions. This weekly meditation group is meeting with the intention of supporting others on the path of meditation and in the discovery of this simple yet profound approach to cultivating happiness within. Gentle Restorative Yoga with Misty

In restorative yoga, props (blocks, bolters, and blankets) are used to support the body so that you can relax into poses for longer periods of time and eliminate unnecessary straining. Through mindful breathing and passive stretching you give the body permission to unwind and relax. Restorative yoga is very calming to the nervous system and can be a great complement to a more active life style. All levels of students are welcome and especially those who wish to heal their bodies and experience the best health possible. $12 drop in.

I just love having a class full of students who join together
with similar intentions to center themselves, there is a sweet energy that
builds and flows. And yet sometimes you might find yourself a bit lost or
overwhelmed in a class. Maybe there is an injury you have
lived with for some time, or trauma in your life that has manifested in your
body in a way that you have come to live with and thought that it will always be
there. Possibly there are patterns in your life and body that you are now
recognizing as unhealthy and that do not serve you as your awareness
unfolds. When you can start to see your personal physical and mental
patterns and begin to understand how they show up, it is very powerful. There is
a way to build an awareness in your body through a personalized application of
yoga that will support healing and a greater sense of peace in your life.
In private sessions we study, with compassion and love, ways to breathe and
support your body. You will learn to make the most of your yoga practice,
whether practicing alone at home or in a public class. You find your own custom practice.
